As voters went to the polls yesterday and the count got underway today, Biddulph now knows who its county councillors are going to be for the next term.
Biddulph's two Conservative county councillors, Ian Lawson and Keith Flunder, have held their seats at the council as both took home fairly comfortable wins.
It means there is no change to Biddulph's county council seats as the same party, and indeed the same councillors, retain both in an election that was delayed by a year due to Coronavirus restrictions.
Ian Lawson received the most votes in the Biddulph North ward, while Keith Flunder was able to win in Biddulph South and Endon.
In second place in both wards were the two Labour candidates, Jill Salt and Nigel Yates, while Green Party candidate Ian Waite finished third in Biddulph North, and Liberal Democrat candidate John Redfern finished third in Biddulph South and Endon.
The full results can be seen below:
Biddulph North - Ian Lawson, Conservative - 1,819 votes - Nigel Yates, Labour - 1,127 votes - Ian Waite, Green Party - 213 votesBiddulph South and Endon
- Keith Flunder, Conservative - 1,803 votes
- Jill Salt, Labour - 876 votes
- John Redfern, Liberal Democrats - 406 votes
