A man and a woman in their 70s were taken to hospital as a precaution after being cut free from a car that crashed into a garden hedge in Biddulph.
Biddulph Nub News reported yesterday (Tuesday 24th May) how police, paramedics and fire crews were called to Park Lane after the crash involving a red Honda Jazz.
The pair were cut out of the car by the fire service before being assessed by paramedics.
They were then taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital as a precaution, but thankfully the emergency services have now said that their injuries were not serious.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Officers were called to Park Lane, in Knypersley, at 4.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 24 May), following reports of a single-vehicle collision.
"It is understood that a red Honda Jazz had collided with the garden wall of a property. A man and woman, in their 70s, were assessed by paramedics at the scene and transported to the Royal Stoke University Hospital as a precaution.
"Their injuries are not serious. Recovery for the vehicle was arranged and officers departed the scene."
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 4.43pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving one car on Park Lane, Knypersley. Three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered two patients, a male and a female, both from the car. They were both cut free by the fire service before being treated for injuries not believed to be serious. Both patients were then taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment."
