Breaking: All adults to be offered Covid booster jabs in Biddulph and beyond

By Jack Lenton 30th Nov 2021

All adults are to be offered a Covid-19 booster vaccine after the Government announced an expansion of the jabs programme in an effort to combat the new Omicron variant.

Everyone over the age of 18 will be offered a booster, and the gap between a second jab and a booster will be shortened from six months to three months.

There were also changes for children aged between 12 and 15 - they can now receive a second jab, also after three months.

In another update, severely immunosuppressed people will be given access to another booster, meaning some will have had a total of four Covid jabs.

The news was confirmed in Parliament by the Health Secretary Sajid Javid this afternoon.

It comes following the re-introduction of some mask and travel rules in the UK.

Masks were once again made compulsory in shops and on public transport, while PCR tests will be reintroduced for travellers returning to the UK.
