By Jack Lenton 18th Oct 2022

The details of how Biddulph will be honouring this year's Remembrance commemorations have been released.

Remembrance Sunday falls on 13th November this year, and a schedule of Remembrance services have been organised throughout the day.

The Sunday morning will see residents meet outside the town hall for a parade to the cenotaph and a period of reflection including the laying of wreaths.

There will then be a Remembrance service at Biddulph Methodist Church.

Also, a period of reflection is being held at the cenotaph on Friday, 11th November.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council explained the schedule that has been put in place.

They said: "On Remembrance Sunday (13 November) we are meeting outside the Town Hall at around 10.20am.

"The parade will leave the Town Hall at 10.30am, arriving at the cenotaph at 10.50am.

"There will be a period of reflection before the Town Council and Royal British Legion lay wreaths, followed by a two-minute silence. Other wreaths will then be laid.

"All are welcome to a Service of Remembrance at the Biddulph Methodist Church (parade expected to arrive at 11.25am).

"If you need further information, please contact the Town Council on 01782 498480 or [email protected]

"On Armistice Day (11 November), we will meet at the Cenotaph at 10.50am for a period of reflection and remembrance."
