Residents in local "Covid-19 hotspots" urged to get tested
Those living in areas identified as local Coronavirus "hotspots" have been urged to get tested.
Brown Edge is currently the closest hotspot that has been identified - meaning the area is experiencing a "high level of community transmission".
Several other areas of the Moorlands have also been named as hotspots.
Anyone living in any of these areas has been encouraged to book a test, and make their friends and family aware of the situation.
Staffordshire Police Community Engagement Assistant Emma Ray provided more information on how residents can get tested.
She said: "Residents in specific locations across the Staffordshire Moorlands are being urged to book a test for Covid-19.
"Cellarhead, Werrington, Bagnall, Brown Edge, Endon, Cheadle, Checkley and Upper Tean have been identified as Covid-19 hotspots. These areas are currently experiencing a high level of community transmission.
"People living in these areas, with or without symptoms are being encouraged to book a test through the national portal.
"If you have relatives or friends living in these areas please pass on this message to make them aware of the situation.
"If you live in these areas but don't have symptoms you can book a test by selecting the option 'my council has asked me to book a test.'
She added: "For the next 3 days (November 25th – 27th) a Mobile Testing Unit will be located at JCB, Cheadle, ST10 2JU to offer additional capacity in the area - you need to book an appointment in advance to get tested at this location.
"If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 (a persistent cough, fever or loss of taste or smell) you should self-isolate immediately and book a test."

Dr Johnny McMahon, Staffordshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Health, Care and Wellbeing, said: "There are a few areas of the Moorlands that we would class as 'hotspot' areas, areas with a high level of transmission. We are encouraging more people in these areas to get tested, even if they aren't currently showing symptoms.
"There is currently good availability at local testing sites and a mobile unit in Cheadle for the next few days. Testing helps us understand the spread in an area, so we can identify and isolate more cases and reduce the spread of the virus."
