A Biddulph pub is looking for someone to take the reigns as it gets ready to reopen its doors to customers once again after a long period of closure.

Biddulph Nub News reported back in June how The Royal Oak is being given a new lease of life after owners revealed that work is well underway to revamp the building.

The building is set to reopen as a pub this winter, as well as having bed and breakfast accommodation, with builders currently working on the renovation process.

Now they are looking for a landlord to "take the helm" as the pub moves into an exciting new stage of its history in Biddulph.

A spokesperson said: "We're excited to announce that we're searching for a landlord to take the helm at this beautiful pub.

"Are you looking for a change? Or to start your own business venture? Maybe as a couple?"

They also listed some of the benefits of the role, which they said included:

- Huge earning potential

- Being your own boss

- Great for couples

- Experience not essential

- Full training and support provided
