As you probably already know by now, the Platinum Jubilee weekend is now only two weeks away.

The special four day Bank Holiday weekend will be held to commemorate the Queen's 70 year reign.

Thursday and Friday will both be Bank Holidays, giving a four day weekend from 2nd - 5th June.

To mark the occasion, a whole range of exciting events are being planned in Biddulph.

Biddulph Nub News reported last week that plenty of events have already been announced.

They included a Jubilee proclamation and disco on the Thursday, a party at The Zone on the Friday, a community lunch on the Saturday and an afternoon tea on the Sunday.

However, even more events have been announced since then, and we are more than happy to update you!

There will be a triple-whammy of events taking place at St Lawrence's Church on Sunday.

Starting at 9.15am, a Jubilee service will be held at the church.

Then at 11am, the service will be followed by a celebration event perfect for all ages.

And finally at 12.15pm, people can bring their own picnic to round off the three events. Drinks will be provided as well as plenty of fun games and activities.

Are you holding an event for the Jubilee? Feel free to let us know and we will be more than happy to help you spread the word! Just email [email protected] or visit https://biddulph.nub.news/whats-on and click "Nub It".
