Biddulph marked Remembrance Sunday amidst a challenging set of circumstances this weekend, with the town continuing to commemorate members of the Armed Forces in the era of lockdown and social distancing.
In normal times, a large procession and gathering at the town's cenotaph would be held, with many residents in attendance.
This was the case last year, as Biddulph marked 75 years since the D-Day landings.
This year is another significant anniversary, marking 75 years since the end of the Second World War.
But these are far from normal times, and this year residents were instead urged to remember at home and stay safe as the pandemic continues.
A small act of Remembrance still took place at the cenotaph, however, and this was streamed live on Biddulph Town Council's Facebook page for residents to watch at home.
If you would like to watch the recording of this livestream, visit the council's Facebook page here.
It included a tribute being read by Biddulph's town crier, John Robinson, and the laying of wreaths by the town mayor, Cllr John Jones.
Photos of the service are also available here.
A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said: "This year has presented some unprecedented challenges for communities.
"On Sunday we would usually be coordinating a large Remembrance Parade through the town with services at the cenotaph and the Methodist Church.
"This year, we are asking you to remember at home and to stay safe.
"On Sunday, we will take photographs and video of a small act of remembrance at the cenotaph, which will be shared to this Facebook page and on the Town Council website."
Other community organisations around the town also held their own Covid-secure Remembrance commemorations.
This included St Lawrence's Church, who recorded their Remembrance service and posted it to YouTube - the video of that service can be watched at the top of this article.
Some residents also marked Remembrance by bowing their heads for a minute of quiet tribute at the doorsteps of their homes at 11am - in a similar way to when people held a minute's applause to show their appreciation for NHS workers during the first lockdown.
